Equality and Inclusion

CFPS welcomes you to a safe and affirming practice for all communities and people, regardless of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, religious beliefs and socio-economic status.

As mental health professionals, we recognize that the experiences of racism and discrimination in all forms have a significant harmful impact on emotional wellbeing. We seek to lessen the psychological burden created by social inequities by providing safe spaces for expression and healing for our clients who feel marginalized. Our goal is to lift people up when they have been pushed down, to listen thoughtfully, acknowledge discomfort and amplify the voices of those who have been harmed.

As individuals, we stand with equality and justice and human rights for all people, pledge to continually educate ourselves about issues of racism and injustice and to be mindful of our own biases and microaggressions.

We believe that we all have room to grow and become better humans.
